Mom Spot entry #3

How many of you have toddlers this season? How many of you are also trying to decorate a tree with those toddlers "helping" you out?
It can be frustrating, it can be tiring, and it can be a long, very drawn out process that takes most of your day. Trust me I know...
Between the Cats, My daughter and running back and forth to the bathroom to pee ( YAY Last few weeks of pregnancy) It's been quite the adventure... My sister and I tried to set up my artificial tree and it literally took us hours... I mean sure, you have to adjust the branches and what not but it shouldn't take that long right?

Well... with a toddler it does... It's not even decorated yet.......
She tried to copy us and ends up smashing branches you've already got bushed out back into this pile of flatness... so you've got to start all over again... *sigh*

At least She's having fun right?

Wish me luck

Mom Spot entry 2

So we attempted to get the 18 month old to sleep in a toddler bed last night... huge failure.
I guess I shouldn't be so hard on her. It was the first time. Right now I think She's looking at it as more of a toy then a bed.  But she fell asleep in the living room (which normally we don't let her do), and was transferred to her bed. Everything seemed great until 4:20am when She woke screaming bloody murder... Fantastic.... I should mention She sleeps through the nights, making this unusual for Her.
Two hours later and She was still awake... only difference was now She wanted in my bed... I don't usually co-sleep (nothing wrong with parents that do I just chose not to).
Needless to say, not a good night. God, I hope she gets use to the other bed by the time #2 comes along....

Wish me luck

Mom Spot entry 1

I Intend to use this as a sort of "Mommy Diary", except that I'm inviting you to read my diary...

I'll be sharing everything about my motherhood journey with two. The highs, the lows, and everything in between. This is sort of going to be a branch of Here's to You... so I'm going to be throwing them both in from time to time as a sort of mash up of both.

So, 35 weeks pregnant with little girl number 2. He like Kara, I like Amelia. Oh, I'm sure if I tried really hard I'd win this name game we have going on, but, I kinda want to wait and see her first. What if she doesn't look like either of them? the names I mean.. I have a backup I haven't told him about yet... Mia. it's sweet and simple. Guess we just have to see..

So has anyone else noticed, that when one person gets pregnant there's like this "storm" of pregnancies? It's almost like this shit is contagious!!
I'm having a baby, My cousin Cat and his Girlfriend are having a baby, My friend Shy is having a baby, when the two of them decide that they want to be with each other ( its a strobe light thing) my nephew's (Sometimes) girl is having a baby... its not his but he doesn't care. (I should add that my nieces and nephews range from 4 months to 26 years old.... Big age gap between siblings).
Anyone else in this situation? I'm not saying it's a bad thing. It's actually kinda funny.

Back to my original point here... This is going to conical my re-learning experience into round two of motherhood... everything from diaper changes to feeding (breast, pumping or otherwise) and how things change between my already developed relationship with my oldest Daughter and my Husband... although he seems pretty excited about all this... I think he wants another already... I'm not done being pregnant with this one yet......

I guess we will find out how things go as time goes on.

Wish me luck!
Courtney :)
